GALVANIZING

Galvanizing

Galvanizing is a process by which the objects to be galvanized are passed through molten molten bath of pure zinc, which when taken out creates a thin protective layer of zinc on the object. This layer of pure zinc when comes in contact with oxygen, it start creating zinc oxide which further reacts to carbon dioxide and forms zinc carbonate. Simply, a sacrificial metal is attached to the surface of the protecting surface in order to protect it from corrosion. Galvanizing does not stop the corrosion of the object completely, but it reduces the process of corrosion drastically, which ensures that galvanized products have a longer life than painted, electroplated or red oxidized objects. Five steps of galvanizing process are as under -

1. Pickling - to remove rust or mill scaling,

2. Rinse - to remove excess acid,

3. Fluxing - for consistent and smooth coating,

4. Galvanizing - to be dipped in molten zinc bath, excess zinc is drained out,

5. Inspection - Cooled objects are inspected for any quality problems.

J & S FENCE INDUSTRIES , with its ISO certified vendors, is able to provide quality services for zinc coated material. We are able to galvanize objects practically of any size. A second level inspection is done by our quality team, before the material is shipped out from the galvanizer premises.
