CONCERTINA RAZOR WIRE COIL

Made out of metal strips with sharp edges, Concertina razor wire is widely used security solution to prevent intrusions. Concertina razor wire or Concertina barbed tape is manufactured by way of cold clenching a series of punched tape, which has multiple sharp edges on both sides. Objective of multiple sharp edges is to inflict serious cuts to anyone which attempts to climb through the barriers. Series of barbs have a piercing and gripping action as well. High tensile core wires make it very difficult to cut through ordinary tools and even if it is cut the spring effect of wire strikes back the cutter. Concertina razor wires are in circular forms and clipped together at multiple points, making it difficult for intruder to intrude without having it cut at multiple points, thus giving more respond time to security forces

2. Running Razor wire - unclipped (RBT) .

Razor wires are available with clips and without clips. The clipped form is called as Concertina coil and without clips razor wire is used as straight runner wire and hence is called as reinforced barbed tape (RBT). RBT can replace barbed wires in normal fencing. Advantage of using RBT in place of conventional barbed wires is that it looks more lethal and is difficult to cut through ordinary tools because of high tensile core wire. More or less, technical specifications of RBT are same as concertina coils but it is unclipped and can be straighten and used as barbed wires. RBT comes in standard length rolls of 130 meters and above as per customer requirement.

Concertina razor wires and straight RBT should be installed by skilled workers only. Custom made steel Y arms are required to install concertina razor wires.

Double concertina coils are manufactured where one smaller diameter razor wire coil is inserted inside a bigger diameter coil. This is warranted due to nature of the area to be secured. Double concertina razor wire coil ensures a longer intrusion time for security personnel to respond.
